The museum’s purpose is to serve the needs of
children, families and schools as a center for learning
and discovery. It is one of the largest museums of its
kind in the nation, The Children’s Discovery Museum
offers 150 interactive exhibits that allow visitors
to explore, understand and enjoy the world in which
they live.
The museum encompasses the broad themes of community,
connections, and creativity and invite self-directed,
